New House

So as I stated before I moved into my new house last Friday and it has been... interesting.

I got in Friday and went to take a shower and found this in the corner, and it seems fairly fresh.

This was the next day. That is my friend Ernest. We laid it out and it was at least 6 feet long. I am hoping it is just a boa and not a ferdelance (tommy gaf) because the latter will kill you in about 4 hours if it bites you and I don't think there is much that can be done about it down here.

These are my other friends in my house. Also, I forgot to bring the picture but don't fear, there has already been a xook' (scorpion) in my room that I had to dispose of.
Also, I learned of one thing I take for granted in the states the hard way this week...gas. You know how you have probably never worried about gas in your life and that you just turn the stove knobs and you get fire? Well, here you need to fill up your tank and use a lighter to start the fire. I bought a tank that when I went to fill it up learned that it was broken. I have been trying to fix it ever since and therefore have not had gas this last week and have been cooking over an open fire (see above picture). Hopefully today I will get it all sorted out...
